Education
I have a Bachelor of Antarctic Science with a focus on Geology, Antarctic Science, and Mathematics from the University of Tasmania, where I also earned my Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Economics. I am pursuing my Master of Teaching in Secondary at the University of Melbourne.
Experience
In high school, I learned study strategies that allowed me to reach my full academic potential. I want to provide this same opportunity to others and am uniquely positioned to do this with a broad range of experience. I have taught VCE Accounting Units 1/2 & 3/4, and VCE Business Management Units 1/2 in an inner-Melbourne high school. I also have good knowledge of the various textbook options available. In addition, I have worked as an accountant and business consultant for almost a decade. As part of this role, I was responsible for training new undergraduate and graduate accountants. My experiences allow me to relate the various theoretical concepts studied to real-life situations, which in turn allows students to place their learning in context with the "real world". I hold a current Working With Children Check and Senior First Aid Certificate. I am available to tutor for VCE Accounting Units 1/2 and 3/4, VCE Business Management Units 1/2, first-year university accounting subjects, and second/third-year university taxation subjects.

Weekends at any time, Monday after 4PM, Tuesday after 4PM, Wednesday after 3PM

Hobbies
I enjoy travelling, both overseas and within Australia - I find the experience of meeting new people and cultures really rewarding. I am an avid bushwalker, in particular hiking in the Tasmanian wilderness. I am also continuing my studies to keep improving my skills and gain access to the latest learning theory research.
