I attended the University of Waterloo where I earned a bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies with Honours. I minored in French and earned a certificate in Environmental Impact Assessment, H1. I also attended La Trobe University, where I studied SOSE and LOTE, H1. I am a student at the University of Melbourne where I am working toward a master's degree in Environment; Stream: Cities and Regions with a focus on food security & accessibility.
Experience
Seeing my students learn new skills and succeed brings me great pride. I strive to pass on my enthusiasm for knowledge and learning to my students. I worked as a teacher in Toronto for four years teaching beginner French and French Immersion to years 2/3 & 4-8. I was a homeroom teacher for year 8 teaching History, English, and Geography. I worked at the Oxford Learning Centre for three years tutoring high school and primary French, as well as English and math. I have two years of experience tutoring in private homes, helping my students with organizational skills and test preparation. Outside of the formal education institution, I was a swimming instructor for five years and volunteered at a Food Community Centre in the after school program, teaching kids to cook and garden.

Hobbies
Cycling around Melbourne on my push-bike named Lola, exploring new cafes, suburbs and all things Melbourne is one of my favourite things to do. I try to bring my camera along with me when I'm out and about, and enjoy capturing the old buildings, streetscapes or ecology that can be found throughout this great city. When I'm not out cycling, I also enjoying gardening, reading and knitting. Currently, I am working on a pair of socks, and one day I will complete the right foot and eventually make my way to making a left foot, to complete the pair.
