Hi! I am a university student, entering my 1st year in a Science and Secondary Education Double Degree at Monash University after having completed 2 years of Engineering at RMIT University. I have a strong science background, having received High Distinctions in all year university math, physics subjects I have undertaken. I will be continuing my study in math and physics, planning to conduct my science major in physics and complete a minor in math.

Experience

I'm tutoring because I'm passionate about teaching and learning, and hope to become a high school teacher in a few years. I have worked as a swimming teacher for over 6 years, and I've even taught English to Japanese students in Japan. I know how to plan classes, structure lessons and get the best results out of my students. I also believe that my strong work and study ethic make me highly qualified to work in tutoring. I worked very hard in year 12 to achieve an ATAR of 93.00 and continued to work throughout university finishing my second year with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.6. My study habits and methods have worked well for me, and I believe that I can pass on much of my methods to the students I will tutor.

Hobbies

I have travelled to many places both in the world and in Australia. I love to explore new places, experience new things and expand my knowledge of the world. Recently, I've traveled to Cambodia to do some volunteering work in remote communities. As part of a team, we designed floating gardens for the village of Prek Toal which floats on the Ton Le Sap. I’m also passionate about sports and keeping fit. I am a cheerleader, and for the past 2 years I've trained with RMIT. It's been a really fun and exciting way to keep fit, and in 2014 we won a national title.
