I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, and bachelor's degree in music and piano performance, from Mount Allison University in Canada. While at Simon Fraser University in Canada, I earned my bachelor's degree in education, secondary mathematics. I also have an Orff Level 1 Certification from the University of Manitoba and an Orff Level 2 Certification from Vancouver Community College.
Experience
I have 10+ years of teaching & tutoring experience as both a public school teacher and private tutor. I am passionate about helping students find success in mathematics through the improvement of problem solving skills and study habits. As an experienced educator, I have worked with students of many different learning styles and can adapt my approach to best meet the needs of each student. I provide both an encouraging and structured environment for learning. Subjects I can cover include 6th through 12th grade math, pre-calculus, and Calculus 1.

Hobbies
I am currently taking leave from my work as a professional school teacher to spend time at home with my young son. I enjoy spending time outdoors, cooking, reading books, and learning new things! I also teach private piano lessons for beginner through advanced students.
